Reading Building Back in Business

Markward Group is pleased to announce the sale of 425 N. 3rd Street in Reading from Caracor, LLC to L&H Signs, a sign manufacturing business from Fleetwood, PA. Markward Group Director Sean Murray represented both parties in the transaction.
L & H purchased the larger building in Reading as part of the company’s expansion plans. L & H will invest between $750,000 and $1 million to refurbish, paint and improve the facility. The work is expected to begin soon and be completed by the end of September when manufacturing operations are scheduled to be transferred to the Reading facility. The company currently employs 40 people at the Fleetwood location and plans to increase their workforce by fifty percent or more over the next three years.
The property consists of a 57,000 SF building on 2.74 acres, situated at the corner of N. 3 rd Street and Buttonwood Street. The property was occupied by Reading Sheet Metal Products for many years until the company relocated to Allentown.
