Software Development Company Moves to Bethlehem Township
Markward Group Helps Bring 75 White-Collar Jobs to the Lehigh Valley

Apprise Software, Inc., a software development firm previously located in Bridgewater, New Jersey, has moved its headquarters and 75 jobs to Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania. Apprise has leased 16,000 SF of office space in Crown Pointe Corporate Center, 3101 Emrick Boulevard in Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VI. Markward Group Senior Vice President Ann Kline represented the landlord while Vice President Matt Macdonald represented Apprise.

On August 9th, the company hosted a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Governor Ed Rendell, Northampton County Executive John Stoffa and Pennsylvania State Representative Craig Dally.

"Apprise Software relocated to Pennsylvania due, in part, to our talented college graduates," Governor Rendell said. "The company has a history of heavily recruiting new employees from area colleges, including Lehigh University. It's very exciting to have Apprise Software move here and provide even more job opportunities for IT graduates in the Lehigh Valley region. The state's efforts to keep our best and brightest graduates in Pennsylvania are clearly paying off."

According to Markward Group's Matt Macdonald, it was a team effort. "We worked very hard to satisfy the tenant and their unique needs. The results of this effort could not have been reached without the staff at LVEDC and the desire of the landlord, Crown Pointe Corporate Center LLC, to attract such a high profile tenant to the Lehigh Valley." Greg Harris, President of Crown Pointe Corporate Center echoed such sentiments, "We felt it was our responsibility to make every effort to satisfy the needs of Apprise."

"This was a terrific project that came about because we were able to work with the GAT (Governor's Action Team) and Markward Group to bring a great company to the Lehigh Valley," said Pete Reinke, Vice President of Regional Development for the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation. "Apprise brought 75 good, solid, high-tech jobs to the Valley and they will be a great addition to the local economy."

rendell 3Due to infrastructure and accessibility, Eastern Pennsylvania has become an increasingly viable option for a number of businesses. "Due to logistics, cost of living, lower rental costs and quality healthcare, more businesses are considering the Lehigh Valley as not only an alternative for their office needs, but a total solution. Crown Pointe is a top-notch executive office center with state of the art mechanicals, high end finishes, and easy access," said Markward Group's Matt Macdonald.

The Governor's Action Team and the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) were instrumental in helping bring Apprise to Pennsylvania. Both the Governor's Action Team and the LVEDC offer assistance to firms seeking to locate or expand their business in Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley.
