VIABL Services Fabric Sale
Markward Group Helps Local Organization for the Blind

RB Associates donated space for the annual Fabric Sale held by Visual Impairment and Blindness Services of Northampton County, Inc. (VIABL Services) from October 6th to the 15th. The sale is being held at the Courtney III building located at 2550 Brodhead Road in Bethlehem, PA. RB Associates has contributed approximately 3,000 SF of space to host the event. This will be the 24th time this event is being held and the first time at the Courtney III location.

Real estate broker Ann Kline, Markward Group, helped to bring VIABL Services into the space. VIABL Services contacted Kline about a location to stage the sale. Richard Bartolacci, owner of RB Associates, embraced the chance to help one of the region’s leading non-profit organizations in one of their fund-raising efforts. “We were very willing and happy to help out with this fundraising effort,” said Kline. “Obviously Mr. Bartolacci thought so too and he was pleased to be a part of this community strengthening effort.”

The Fabric Sale is staffed entirely by VIABL Services volunteers, with proceeds going directly into programs to help blind and visually impaired individuals in the local area. Items are donated by local businesses and families and include fabrics, cottons, knits, lace, yarn, buttons, zippers, thread, patterns, finished pieces and more. Founded in 1928, Visual Impairment and Blindness Services of Northampton County, Inc. www.viablservices.org works to prevent vision impairment by increasing community awareness regarding eye safety and prevention of blindness through education, community vision screening programs and remedial eye care. VIABL Services provides social services to over 700 blind and visually impaired consumers and reaches 5000 individuals through programs such as Prevention of Blindness, Low Vision, Remedial Eye Care and Information and Referral Services.
