Blood Drive Helps the Community

On February 23rd, Markward Group hosted a community blood drive at Green Hills Commerce Center. The event was coordinated with Miller-Keystone Blood Center, which provided a truck and a team to draw blood. Markward Group publicized the event, coordinated the scheduling and providing the venue. We're pleased to report that the function was a success and that a number of donors came out to support the drive. "I'm just glad I could help out," said Markward Group's Derek Jenkins. "I give blood when I can and it was nice this time to have the bloodmobile come to me. It was really convenient."

Miller-Keystone is the only blood supplier for Lehigh, Northampton, Berks, Carbon and upper Bucks and upper Montgomery counties, so it's good to know that we're helping out right in our own backyard.

On behalf of the Miller-Keystone Blood Center and Markward Group, a special Thank You goes out to everyone who either participated or provided assistance to ensure this community outreach program was a success.
